Pair of runner-up finishes at Lavonia Speedway and Cherokee Speedway

Kicking off Labor Day weekend, Ross Bailes joined the Southern All Stars at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway for a $4,000-to-win show before heading over to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday for the Hall of Fame race.

Bailes started ninth in the 40-lap weekend opener and made up eight positions to finish in second-place finish behind Michael Brown. On Sunday, Ross once again charged through the field and ran runner-up, this time to Clay Harris.
