SANDBERG WINS GOV CUP VICTORY
On night 1, outside pole sitter Paul Schuh grabbed the lead from pole sitter Levi Ensz in the IMCA Sport Compact feature. An early caution regrouped the field and on the lap three restart, Schuh and Braydee Hanson battled for the lead. As Schuh cleared Hanson for the lead, Hanson had his hands full with third place Ken Sandberg. Sandberg slipped by Hanson and challenged Schuh for the lead before a debris caution late in the race set up a late race shootout. Unfortunately, the debris came from the leader, Schuh, which turned the lead over to Sandberg. As the laps wound down, Ken Sandberg pulled away to pick up his second feature victory of the season. Braydee Hanson settled for second ahead of Levi Ensz. Andy Reed finished fourth while Larry King rounded out the top five.
