Nobbe Racing attends "The Return" at West Virginia Motor Speedway

Sunday night found both Dustin and Ted Nobbe in action at West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) for the return of the 5/8-mile oval that has laid dormant for the past eight seasons. (Zach Yost photo)

Drawing 18 Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Series entries, Dustin gained three spots in his heat race to finish second behind Colton Flinner. Ted entered his Crate Late Model into competition vs a field of Supers and placed sixth in his heat. With $8,000 on the line in the feature, Dustin was running in the top-five when debris on the track shredded his right-rear tire, ending his night immediately. He was credited with a 10th-place finish. Ted started the feature in 12th but was an early retiree from the 50-lapper to avoid the rough track conditions.
