Honeycutt leads BLR in Road to the Throwback
Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) entered a pair of Chevrolet SS Pro Late Models in the zMAX CARS Tour Road to the Throwback event at Newton, North Carolina’s Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday. Both Kaden Honeycutt in the No. 47 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet and Brandon Lopez in his No. 6 LeeBoy Chevy suffered tough evenings.
Lopez qualified eighth in the 17-car field at the famed 0.363-mile Hickory oval, and Honeycutt posted the 11th-quickest time.
Honeycutt climbed one spot in the 100-lap, $4,000-to-win main event to finish 10th. Lopez fell back and came home 13th in his first race since his maiden CARS Pro Late Model Tour win at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina.
Lopez is currently third in CARS Pro Late Model Tour points, while Honeycutt sits 11th as he runs a limited schedule.
