Sorensen 12th in Firecracker Faceoff opener; Sixth-place finish with Hell Tour at Lincoln

Dustin Sorensen kicked off another long trip with the World of Outlaw Real American Beer Late Model Series on Friday afternoon with a trip to I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Mo.) for the two-day Firecracker Faceoff.

Sorensen started 18th in the $12,000-to-win opener and made up six positions to finish 12th. For the $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Dustin took a provisional and finished 20th in the running order.

Dustin found some better luck with the Hell Tour on Sunday evening, finishing sixth in the $5,000-to-win show at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway.
