Fireworks, later start time this Saturday at Enid Speedway

By John Rittenoure - ENID, Okla. (July 6, 2022) - The Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Models return to action this weekend with a Saturday night stop at Enid Speedway.

Fireworks will headline this weekends show at Enid Speedway.

The Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Models will be racing Saturday along with Ok Factory Stocks, Sport Mods and Hot Shots.

Start time has been moved from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 due to the extreme heat with gates opening at 5.

A Fireworks show will take place around 9:30 following heat races. Feature races will conclude the night after the fireworks display.

Hayden Ross continues to lead the points chase over 4-time defending champion Kip Hughes. However, Dustin Allen, who sits 11th in points, has won the last two visits to Enid.

The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Arkansas as well.
