Joseph Joiner Makes USA Nationals Debut

Joseph Joiner made his debut at Wisconsin's USA Nationals over the weekend with his No. 10 Capital Race Car.

The World of Outlaws CASE Late Model Series weekend started on a disappointing note on Thursday evening for Joiner. He qualified fourth fastest, but forgot to cross the scales, which resulted in him starting from the tail of his heat race instead of from the front row.

He advanced from 12th-to-seventh in the heat race, which left him short of qualifying for the feature. As a result he was relegated to a B-Main, where he started and finished fifth as his night came to an early end.

On Friday night, double heat races were held for the 46-car field. He started-and-finished third in the first heat race, but slipped from sixth-to-eighth in the second heat race.

Later that night he competed in the FANS Fund Dash, where he registered a fourth-place finish.

The team made wholesale changes for Saturday's program. Joseph came up just short of earning a transfer spot to the 100-lap feature, however with him being the highest vote earner from the FANS Fund program to not qualify for the feature, he received a provisional to start 28th.

After not making any ground early in the feature, he retired to a 28th-place finish.
