Stormy scores seventh-place finish in Ira Bastin Memorial at Brownstown
Stormy Scott returned to the driver’s seat of his Rancho Milagro Racing No. 2s Late Model on Thursday night for the second running of the Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.).
With 44 Late Models packed in the pit area, Scott’s 10th-place finish in his heat relegated him into one of two consolation races for another shot at the $20,000-to-win A-Main. Pinned near the tail, Stormy missed a transfer spot with an 11th-place outing, ending his night.
On Saturday, Stormy invaded Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) as the Northern Allstars Late Model Series returned with the inaugural Ira Bastain Memorial. In a stout field of 54 cars, Scott secured his spot into the show with a third-place finish in his heat. With $6,000 on the line, Stormy advanced forward four positions to register a seventh-place finish.
