Putnam records pair of Top-10 finishes with Hunt the Front at Needmore and Senoia
Heading to the Peach State for another weekend of Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series action, Josh Putnam unloaded his Randle Chupp Race Consulting No. 212 Race Car at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) for the first leg of a doubleheader weekend.
Among a smaller field of cars on Friday, Putnam started the 40-lap main event from the fifth row and gained five positions to finish just off the podium in fourth.
Traveling overnight to Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday, Putnam was DQ'd in his heat race after making contact with another competitor in the infield. Starting the $5,400-to-win feature from the rear, Josh stormed through the field and went from 24th-to-10th to land inside the Top-10.
Putnam leads the current series points standings.
Josh will return to the track next weekend as the tour travels back to Georgia for events at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway and Rome (Ga.) Speedway.
