Ross Robinson eighth in River Days Rumble at Portsmouth
Ross Robinson traveled to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Saturday afternoon to pilot his Stockley Materials No. 7 Late Model for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned River Days Rumble.
In a field of 34 cars, Robinson timed in third-fastest in his qualifying group before placing third in his heat race. With $15,000 on the line in the main event, Ross jumped up two spots in the 50-lap affair to register an eighth-place finish.
For the 55th running of the Hillbilly 100 on Sunday at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W. Va.), Ross was forced to use a provisional into the $30,000-to-win finale after falling shy of a transfer spot in his heat and B-Main. Pinned on the 12th row, Robinson rounded out the weekend with a 21st-place outing.
Ross is currently 13th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
