K-Rob attends Dirt Million at Mansfield Motor Speedway
Thursday night saw Kent Robinson return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the second annual Dirt Million at Mansfield Motor Speedway (Mansfield, Ohio). With 56 cars registered in for action, Robinson came in 8th in his heat before placing 2nd in his B-Main behind Billy Moyer Jr. Earning the 20th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Kent gained four spots logging a 16th place outing.
The following night for another round of preliminary features, Kent recorded the ninth fastest time in his qualifying group before streaking to a 10-lap heat race victory. Falling one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Robinson dropped five positions to place 6th.
Starting in 3rd in his heat race on Saturday afternoon, Kent logged a 5th place finish transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $101,626-to-win Dirt Million. Coming short of a transfer spot with a 5th place finish, Robinson had one last shot at the finale with the non-qualifiers feature. With the race winner given the option to tag the tail of the field in the A-Main, Kent Robinson posted a 6th place finish.
