Feature winners of the 58th consecutive season race week seven sponsored by Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville were DJ Robinson in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Jason Gray in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Wayne Stearns in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF; Kelly Miller in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Keith Mansur in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; Zach Audet in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners, and “The Professor” Chris Donnelly in the visiting Sprint Cars of New England.
DJ Robinson is the sixth different winner in as many weeks raced in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Robinson was able to get the jump early and take advantage of a green to checkers thirty-five lap event to get the win and his golden ticket to the Growler event at the end of the season. Thomas Placey was able to hold on for second for his third second of the season with Jeremy Huntoon vindicating himself from a missed set up last week coming home in third in the final victory lane position and his best finish of the season. Mike Ryan and Melvin Pierson rounded out the top five. Next week is Madness night for the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds which is sure to offer plenty of racing excitement for the fans with extra features, points and money on the line.
For the second week in a row Ricky Sanville comes home the bridesmaid in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes as Jason Gray gets by him late in the race and sales on for the win. Sanville held off the hard-fought challenges of last year’s rookie Lucas Wheeler who joined the pair in victory lane. Cody Gregeropoulos takes home fourth and Terry Williams driving the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville sponsored car came home in fifth.
Wayne Stearns adds his name to the winner circle in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited. Stearns was able to hold off Michael Danforth for the win and the current points leader Brian King who came home in third. Travis Shinn and Shawn King completed the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and return to action on July 5th
In the High-Country Dispensaries Late Models Kelly Miller Sr gets his second win of the season and takes over the points lead by one point over Scott Heath who came home in second. Todd Dunham joined the pair in victory lane with Mark Cole and Carl Eldridge rounding out your top five.
In the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Keith Mansur has weekly worked his way up the leader board to finally make it to the top with his first win of the season. Mike McClay in the Sunday grocery getter was unable to get by Mansur having to settle for the runner up position. Tyler Fellows winless to date but on top of the points standings comes home in third. Timoth Blake had his best finish of the season just one spot short of victory lane in fourth with Matt Pike rounding out the top five.
Katie Burroughs continues to be consistent In the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville Ridge Runners making her fourth trip to victory lane this season, still striving for that feature win as she comes home in the third-place spot. She looked poised to come in second, but a late race pass by Kevin LaForest who is hoping for another title got by her for the position. Zach Audet worked his way to the front to take home the win. Rounding out the top five were Kyle Morris and Taylor Sayers.
The Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) were finally in the house having lost their first event to rain. The field of nineteen 360 Sprints put on a whale of a show with their green to checkers twenty-five lap main. “The Professor” Chris Donnelly worked his way to the front to take over the lead on lap fifteen and cruised on for the win. Caiden Herbert, who led the first fourteen laps, was able to hold on for second with Troy Comeau coming home in third. Floyd Billington and Tunk Berry finished out the top five.
Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro Series will return to action on July 26, 2025.
Coming up this Saturday July 5th is our Dennis ‘Dad’ Preston memorial race and David’s House Benefit night, plus the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will be going for extra cash for their Madness event. The general admission (front gate) ticket for adults is $15.00, seniors $13.00, teens $13.00 and children 11 and under $2.00. Teens and children must be with a paying adult. Military Discounts are available at $5.00 off for those with a valid ID.
The back gate (pit gate) ticket price for Bear Ridge Speedway and DIRTcar 2025 license holders is $30.00. Non-license holders are $35.00 (both prices include the front gate ticket.)
