Corio Gets His First Career Win - Full Write Up Results for 7-5-25

The track was blazing, the stands were packed, and the action was pure chaos in motion.

Saturday night’s Autograph Night delivered five features, a makeup showdown, and no shortage of edge-of-your-seat moments.

With heat races and a June makeup feature on tap, it was pedal-down, door-to-door action from start to finish.

Tommy Schirnhofer (8S), from Dormont, stayed hot with another win in the Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Models, and AJ Poljak (36), from Baldwin, snagged his fourth victory of the season in the Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stocks.

Cameron Hollister (44), from Bulger, swept both Crawford Auto Repair Four Cylinder features. And in a moment to remember, Marc Corio (14), from South Fayette, broke through for his first-ever win in the Auto House Hobby Stocks.

Tommy Schirnhofer (8S) redrew the pole for the 20-lap Rohrich Automotive/Chevy Performance RUSH Late Model feature, but it didn’t come easy.

When the green dropped, Jake Gunn (14G) ripped to the front with his brother Zach (17G) in tow. Schirnhofer slipped to third and watched the Gunn brothers set the early tone.

By lap three, Schirnhofer clawed back to second and locked onto the leader. But Jake Gunn wasn’t lifting. By lap six, he had nearly a straightaway lead on the field.

Then came the twist.

Midway through the race, Jake suddenly pulled off track with mechanical trouble, handing the lead to Schirnhofer just before the caution flew on lap 12.

On the restart, Schirnhofer held strong with Mike Reft (9R) storming from fourth to second. It looked like Schirnhofer had it sealed until a late caution with two to go threw everything back in the air.

After a red flag on the restart, Schirnhofer didn’t flinch. He nailed the final restart and never looked back, scoring his second win of the season.

Dan Angelicchio (14) finished second, Clinton Hersch (16) third, Christian Schneider (56) fourth, and Reft (9R) rounded out the top five. Heat race wins went to Schirnhofer and Jake Gunn.

The action came quick in the 15-lap Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stock feature as Jonathan Koteles (2K), from Stockdale, lined up on the pole with Nick Kocuba (10), from Burgettstown, to his outside.

When the green flag dropped, Kocuba (10) wasted no time jumping out front with AJ Poljak (36) locking into second and Logan Koteles (64K), also from Stockdale, settling into third.

An early caution paused the charge, but on the restart, Poljak (36) made his move.

With a bold inside line and clean exit off turn two, he took the lead and never gave it back.

From there, it was smooth sailing. No cautions. No threats. Just Poljak pounding out laps and stretching his advantage over the field.

He crossed the line first to grab his fourth win of the season. Kocuba (10) followed in second, Cody Koteles (1K) charged to third, Emmerson Laboon (114) grabbed fourth, and Brett McDonald (25) rounded out the top five. The heat race winner was Logan Koteles (64K).

Marc Corio (14) didn’t just show up…he showed out.

Lining up on the outside pole of the 15-lap Auto House Hobby Stock feature, the South Fayette driver wasted no time grabbing the early lead as the field thundered into turn one.

Kyle Janas (88), from Coraopolis, tucked into second, with Chloie Jones (76) holding third.

An early caution on lap two bunched the pack.

Corio chose the high side on the restart and once again drove off like he owned the joint.

Another yellow flew on lap five, but Corio kept his cool under pressure and nailed the restart.

Gary Koteles (56) threw everything he had at him, lap after lap. But Corio never flinched.

After years of grinding, the checkered flag finally flew for Marc Corio, who parked it in victory lane for his first-ever Auto House Hobby Stock win, and he earned every inch of it.

Leroy Brown (40B) charged into second, Koteles (56) settled for third, Adam Kostelnik (64) grabbed fourth, and Jones (76) rounded out the top five.
Heat wins went to Corio (14) and Jones (76).

The night kicked off with the rescheduled Crawford Auto Repair Four Cylinder makeup feature, and Cameron Hollister (44) wasted no time reminding fans why he’s a threat anytime he’s in the lineup.

Jacob Wiser (53), from Robinson Township, rolled off on the pole with Anthony Uddstrom (18) to his outside.

Uddstrom grabbed the early lead by the time the field hit turn one, but Hollister was already on the hunt from third.

By lap four, Hollister powered his way into the top spot and never looked back, locking down his second win of the season. Uddstrom held on for second, John Gill (19G) came home third, Wiser finished fourth, and Ray Tichnor (16) rounded out the five-car field.

When the second feature rolled around, the Hollister brothers weren’t done yet. Tyler Hollister (69) started from the pole with JR Matthess (47M), of Chester WV, on the outside.

Tyler launched out front on lap one, but big brother Cameron wasn’t far behind.

By lap two, the pressure was on and when Tyler suddenly fell off pace, Cameron swooped in to take control.

A lap four caution reset the field, but it didn’t matter.

Cameron held off the pack and cruised to his second win of the night, completing a rare Saturday sweep. Gill crossed the line in second, Gavin Kokolis (91) took third, John Hollister (64) finished fourth, and Matthess rounded out the top five. Tyler Hollister (69) was the heat race winner.
