Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Joins Summer Nationals at Oakshade Raceway for 28th Annual Birthday Race

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 7, 2025)—The 28th Annual Birthday Race will take place on Saturday July 12 at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio featuring the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP co-sanctioned for the second-straight event with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Series. The 40-lap main event pays $10,000-to-win. The Summit Modified Nationals and the Super Stocks will also be in action.

During last year’s 27th Annual edition of the Birthday Race, Ashton Winger of Hamton, Ga. collected the $10,000 prize over Tyler Erb, Devin Shiels, Jake Rendel, Trey Mills, Wil Herrington, Ryan Missler, Casey Noonan, Steve Kester & Colin Shipley. Noonan of Sylvania, Ohio is the most recent Oakshade Raceway victor on July 5.

Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill. won the latest Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series vs. Summer Nationals Series event last Saturday July 5 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. over Mark Whitener, Colten Burdette, Tyler Erb & Billy Moyer. Burdette of Parkersburg, W.V. leads the championship standings over Rusty Schlenk, Rod Conley, Seth Daniels & Clint Keenan.

On Saturday July 12th at Oakshade Raceway, the pit gates will open to everyone at 10:00 am, cleared at 4:00 pm for pit pass holders only, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 pm and hot laps/qualifying will begin at 6:30 pm. Adult general admission is $20 while adult pit passes are $30.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and DIRTcar Summer Nationals will co-sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event (all DIRTcar Summer Nationals Series rules and procedures apply) and the tire rule will be as follows: Fronts and Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2; Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2, NLMT 3, and NLMT 4. There is NO entry fee for this event (driver must be a DIRTcar member) and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track.
