Sam Seawright records strong Fourth of July weekend; Podium finish with Hell Tour at Duck River

Kicking off the holiday weekend on Thursday evening, Sam Seawright was one of 33 Southern All Star entries at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the $5,000-to-win show.

Qualifying seventh-fastest in his group, Seawright picked up a B-Feature win and charged to an eighth-place finish in the 40-lap main event.

After taking off the Fourth of July, Sam joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday evening for the $15,000-to-win Independence Shootout.

Seawright finished second in a heat race and started from the fourth-row in the 50-lap feature and he came away with a seventh-place outing.

Wrapping up the holiday weekend at one of his home tracks, Seawright recorded a podium outing with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals as he finished third behind Tyler Erb and Jason Feger at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) on Sunday.
