Carson Ferguson
10th-place showing in Kosiski Family 53 at Shelby County Speedway
Kicking off a four-race stretch before a late-summer break, Carson Ferguson was one of 38 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Tuesday afternoon for the Kosiski Family 53.
Ferguson finished third in his heat race and started from the sixth-row in the $25,053-to-win feature and rounded out the Top-10 in 10th.
For the 15th-annual Silver Dollar Nationals, Ferguson finished 19th and 21st in the $10,000 prelim features at Husets Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) before recording a 22nd-place outing in the $75,000-to-win finale on Saturday.
Ferguson is ninth in the current LOLMDS point standings.
Carson also competed in the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series event at Toccoa (Ga.) Raceway on Tuesday afternoon and piloted Cameron Tribble's No. 74 machine to an 11th-place finish in the 40-lapper.
