Crate Racin’ USA National Weekly Points Recap: Week 21 of 30

(Eastaboga, AL – July 23, 2025) – The countdown continues with just nine weeks remaining in the Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series national points season. As Week 21 wraps up, the heat on the track is matched only by the pressure in the standings, with tight battles and strategic moves reshaping the championship outlook. Here’s how the competition stacks up across all four weekly divisions:

CRUSA Dirt Late Models
The battle at the top remained steady as Ben Davis of Poplarville, MS, added to his lead with another solid showing, extending his total to 659 points. Although Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS, kept pace with a 645-point total, the gap widened slightly to 14 points, reflecting how every position is starting to count.

Rookie Brody Williams has emerged as a serious third-place contender, jumping past James Shirley and now trailing the lead by 55 points. Shirley slid to fourth with 598, just 6 points behind Williams. Summer Joiner, another standout rookie from Ponchatoula, LA, rounds out the top five at 595 points.

The mid-pack saw several shakeups. Brady Walton gained momentum and now sits sixth (590 pts), while Shannon Lee remains seventh but is further adrift in the title race with 558 points. David Williamson and Chris McElhenney moved up to eighth and ninth, respectively, displacing Bubba Mullins to tenth.

CRUSA Late Model Sportsman
Consistency remains king for Brett White, who continues to lead the division with 694 points and has yet to be caught since taking the top spot. Devin Whatley holds second with 675 points, still just 19 points back, keeping the title fight very much alive.

Covy Parsons (660 pts) remains close in third, while Zack Owens and rookie Brandon Lunsford fill out the top five with 626 and 620 points, respectively.

Allen Edwards made a significant jump from sixth to close in at 610, cutting his deficit to 84 points and closing the gap to the lead group. The rest of the top ten features several racers in striking distance, including rookies Jarrett Jones (530 pts) and Brodie Thompson, who climbed into tenth with 468.

CRUSA Street Stocks
It remains a dominant campaign for Calvin Martin, whose 697 points continue to set the bar in the Street Stock ranks. Behind him, Travis Marsh (659 pts) and rookie Malachi Magee (636 pts) hold strong in second and third.

Big moves came from Bryce Sheasby, who vaulted to fourth overall (606 pts), leapfrogging multiple competitors. Carlos Williamson, another talented rookie, climbed to fifth with 588 points, pushing Corey Buhler to sixth despite consistent performances.

Chase Pennington, Brandon Farmer, and Devin Walker are now locked in a close points battle for positions seven through nine, while Justin Hart rounds out the top ten after improving his position from Week 20.

CRUSA Modified Sportsman
The Modified Sportsman division remains the most stable in the standings, with the top 15 unchanged from Week 20. Colton Grimes of Ecru, MS, holds firm at the top with 563 points, followed by Ron Grandel at 506.

Luke Riddle and Keith Coan remain tied for third at 442 points each, while rookie Chad Gentry continues his strong campaign just seven points back in fifth.

The consistency of the top runners means the pressure will likely rise in coming weeks as competitors behind the leaders look to make a final push. With only a few remaining races in which to gain ground, each driver will need to capitalize on every outing.
