Rain Date Set for Free Grandstand Admission Night, Community Food Drive to Support 25fortyPGH’s Mission

Imperial, PA — Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) is proud to announce that Saturday, September 6th, will serve as the official rain date for the highly anticipated Free Grandstand Admission Night, presented by A&S Federal Credit Union. Originally scheduled for June 28th, this community-focused event will return bigger and better with a powerful new purpose: fighting hunger across our region.

In partnership with A&S Federal Credit Union and 25fortyPGH, PPMS will launch its “Racing Against Hunger” initiative. All fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the gate to help restock mini food pantries throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. These micro-pantries, part of 25fortyPGH’s “Take what you need, leave what you can” model, are available 24/7 and serve as a lifeline for neighbors facing food insecurity.

“Our fans always show up for great racing, and now they have a chance to show up for something even greater; helping their local communities,” said Blair Cress Jr., Owner of PPMS. “With the support of A&S Federal Credit Union and the passion behind 25fortyPGH’s mission, we’re proud to be racing for a cause.”

As a member-owned financial cooperative serving the Beaver Valley area for 85 years, A&S Federal Credit Union believes in supporting people over profit. Their sponsorship of this event is part of a continued commitment to building stronger communities through education, empowerment, and partnerships that matter.

“Supporting this event was an easy decision for us,” said Gina Huntington, CEO of A&S Federal Credit Union. “Just like we work to provide financial tools that help people meet their everyday needs, 25fortyPGH helps neighbors meet their most basic ones. By teaming up with PPMS and 25fortyPGH for ‘Racing Against Hunger,’ we’re able to help put food on shelves, smiles on faces, and hope in homes. That’s what community is all about.”

The night will feature a full card of racing with action from the RUSH Sprint Car Series, Rohrich Parts Center & Chevrolet Performance RUSH Late Models, Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, The Auto House Hobby Stocks, and the Crawford Auto Repair Four Cylinders. Gates open at 5:00 PM, with racing slated to begin at 7:00 PM. Grandstand admission is completely free, thanks to A&S Federal Credit Union’s support.

“25fortyPGH is thrilled to be teaming up with PPMS and A&S to raise awareness and collect critical supplies for our network of pantries,” said Mark Duffy, President. “Every single item collected will help someone get through their day a little easier.”

Donation suggestions include: canned proteins (like tuna or chicken), pasta, rice, soup, peanut butter, granola bars, and shelf-stable boxed meals. Hygiene items such as toothpaste, deodorant, and soap are also welcomed.

Join us at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 6th, for a night of high-speed entertainment and heart-driven community impact. Let’s join together and race against hunger!
