HOATH AND CLIFTON WIN DONNY ARCHER MEMORIAL!

Western Australian SSA Street Stock Champion Jake Hoath raced at his home track of Derby Speedway Club last weekend and was rewarded handsomely, coming home with the victory in the club’s biggest annual event, the Donny Archer Memorial, joint points winner alongside Broome based Modified Sedan competitor Ray Clifton.

Hoath would lead all the way in the Street Stock main event, while the real battle was for second, with Karratha’s Stevie O’Dowd originally holding down the position before fellow Nickol Bay local Tyde Lovell raced by.

Unfortunately Lovell would drop back through the field on lap ten seeing O’Dowd back in second, only for Matt Lowe to steal the position on the final lap.

Hoath would also claim the all in race.

Just three cars started the SSA Production Sedan races with Jhye Kent victorious over Odin Smith and Shayne Doust, while Ray Clifton emerged victorious in the SSA Modified Sedans, defeating Jeff Steele and Liam Mackenzie.

In the Junior Sedans it was Blake McGaffin defeating Jesse James Fuller and Kurtis Eades in the New Stars while Luke Bailey was victorious in the Top Stars over Joel Bowman and Koby Rickerby.
