Winter Finale this Weekend!

The 2025 Michael Holmes Racing Winter Series gets back underway for the final time this season this weekend at Ellenbrook Speedway, with the prize fight set to go down to the wire after three action-packed rounds. The championship picture has shifted following the latest points update, and with just one round to go, the battle for the crown remains wide open.

At the top of the standings, Jay Bassanelli (Bassanelli Motorsport ) leads on 311 points after a season of consistency and pace. Just 13 points behind is Ewan Dickson, who has been in hot pursuit all series and will head to Ellenbrook determined to turn the tables. With such a slender margin between the pair, every heat, every lap, and every position could decide the championship.

The battle for the top five adds another layer of intrigue. Former series leader Bruce MacKenzie sits fourth on 226 points, the New South Welshman only two behind Nic Marshall, with Beau Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) close behind on 222. Brett Niall (211) and Chris Barrow (Barrow Motorsports) (203) are also in striking distance, setting up a tense shuffle for the final podium positions in the series standings especially considering the absence of third placed Marshall after engine woes.

The nominations list remains stacked, with a total of eighteen drivers set to hit the track at Ellenbrook. Alongside the Winter Series teams, a number of Pro Dirt Series regulars will take the chance to hit the track including Joe Chalmers, Warren Oldfield, Luke Halliday, David Nylander, Greg Horan and Ken Macpherson.

With a field this competitive, every single moment will be crucial in deciding not only the round winner but also the Winter Series champion!
Racing begins from 3pm on Sunday.
