Over $250,000 To Be Handed Out At Texas Motor Speedway During ASCS National Tour Finale

Bryan Hulbert – FT. WORTH, Texas (October 28, 2019) With two nights to settle who will walk away with the championship with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, a combined payout of $250,000 is up for grabs at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

A $3,000 to win, $400 to start A-Feature on Thursday, October 31 followed by a $4,000 to win, $400 to start finale on Friday, November 1, plus $150 to any driver not making the show either night, the stakes are high for everyone competing at Tony Stewart presents the VANKOR Texas Sprint Car Nationals. Throw on that, paying 11 eligible drivers their point fund plus Rookie of the Year, the end of year point fund alone makes up $208,500 of the overall weekend bounty.

With an 86-point gap between himself and Blake Hahn, the chances of Sam Hafertepe, Jr. making it four Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network Championships are fairly good. Four career victories at the four-tenths mile oval sides history with the Texas racer, but just like we saw at the Hockett/McMillin Memorial, it only takes a couple of rough runs to bring the chase tight once more.

Hahn with 10 A-Feature appearances since 2012 has amassed four top-five finishes, along with a half dozen top-ten runs. The best finish of second in 2016 to Sam Hafertepe, Jr., the Oklahoma racer is not out of taking the $50,000 champion’s share for his own.

Roger Crockett in third sits 81 markers ahead of Matt Covington with John Carney II looking to make up 73 points and retake the fourth position while keeping Scott Bogucki at bay, who sits only 22 points out of the top five. Separated by only 10 points, Harli White in seventh has Robbie Price breathing down her neck with Jordon Mallett not far out of the fight with 56 points to make up. Tucker Doughty holds tenth and looks to cap his rookie season by holding off Alex Hill.

With Tony Stewart, Sammy Swindell, Johnny Herrera, and a hose of others slated to join the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network at Texas Motor Speedway, Limited Modifieds will also grace the clay. Both nights will be filmed for broadcast on the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

Grandstands both nights open at 6:00 P.M. with Opening Ceremonies at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Tickets and other information about Texas Motor Speedway can be found at http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com.
