Michael Collects His First Heat Race Win and Second Win of the Season
Michael, competing in his second race event after his midseason "Ride of His Life" incident in Ada, won his heat race in dominating fashion at Outlaw Motor Speedway south of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Starting outside pole, Michael rocketed the Jet Hot High Performance Coatings, Ti22 Performance, Champion Brands Lubricants sprinter to the early lead and pulled away from the pack. A midway yellow bunched up the cars again, but on the restart Michael continued his dominance, winning by a straight-a-way. A sticky throttle and missed setup resulted in a 19th place finish in the "A" Feature.
Next week is the last race of the season for the OCRS series and the BiGFooT team with racing at Caney, Kansas. The offseason will be spent regrouping and building a new sprinter to replace the one destroyed at Ada.
