Elma, Washington- The third and final leg of Grays Harbor Raceway’s Wingless Sprint Shootout, presented by Walker Racing Development and Modern Machinery, was held on Saturday, August 4th. The Elma, Washington 3/8-mile facility attracted seventeen entries in the pit area. Teams from Washington and Oregon would be represented in the field.

Rob Lindsey, from Sherwood, Oregon, would win his third race of the season. Lindsey would also claim the Walker Racing Development/Modern Machinery Wingless Sprint Shootout mini-series title. McMinnville, Oregon native Lance Hallmark was the runner-up followed by Mark Herz, from Sandy, Oregon, in third. Jake Gillman, hailing out of Forest Grove, Oregon, ended his evening in fourth while Salem, Oregon’s Tim Alberding placed fifth.

The Wingless Sprint Series will visit Sunset Speedway Park, in Banks, Oregon, for their one and only trip of 2018 on Saturday, August 11th. The “Banks Bullring” has hosted three completed events producing three different winners. Lindsay Barney, Wayne Van Raden, and Lance Hallmark have all graced victory lane with the WSS. Unfortunately, their last planned event would fall victim to rain resulting in a cancellation.

Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00. A Family Pass (Two Adults and up to four Youths) is offered for $35.00 while Premium Seats are available for $25.00 each. Tickets, apparel, and more can be purchased online at www.pnwdirtracing.com . Rob Lindsey enters the weekend as the driver with the most points and victories, with three. Kyle Miller and Tim Alberding both have achieved two wins this season while single race winners include Lindsay Barney and Pat Canfield.
