WSS - Wingless Sprint Series
Kyle Miller Continues Reign at CGS

16 Wingless Sprints would make their way to the Cottage Grove Speedway. Track provided a racy but very slick surface. Proving early on passing most likely would be a premium. You wanted to make sure your car was good early and Ricky Ashley did that qualifying quick time as only car in 14 second bracket. Jonathan Jorgenson would hold off field in heat 1. While Kyle Miller would make daring moves to go from 6th to 1st in heat 2. The trophy dash would see a incredible battle between Tim Alberding, Lance Hallmark, and Ashley. With Alberding being victorious. A young fan in the stands would draw invert for the main event, that number would be a 8. Meaning high point men Kyle Miller, and Ashley would get shuffled back to row 4.
As the green flag flew Jonathan Jorgenson would pace the field for first 1/4 of the race on a very high line preferred track. Defending champ Rob Lindsey would make the move though to get by the leader. After a caution would fly on lap 14. This set up for a 16 lap shootout to the end. A incredible battle between Alberding, Lindsay Barney, Seth Nunes, and Kyle Miller would shape up early on restart. As Miller would start making the necessary movements to get on the leaders tail tank. Miller would eventually make the move in turn 3 and 4 after Lindsey up front was not gonna make any mistakes. Miller would go in hot on his tail and cross under thru the slick and somehow able to clear and take lead.
Kyle Miller would take another win at CGS. With WSS regulars, Rob Lindsey and Lindsay Barney taking 2nd and 3rd respectfully, continuing their fierce battle for a WSS title. Newcomer to series running in his first Wingless event was Winged Veteran Seth Nunes in 4th, and CGS local Ricky Ashley rounding out top 5.
