Trent Carter Cashes In On The Long Tow and Wins The Ironman

The Wingless Sprint Series would roll into a very hooked up Coos Bay Speedway. 15 drivers would make the drive over to the bay.
To start the night, defending champion and inaugural Ironman Winner, Rob Lindsey would qualify quick time.
Heat races would show some exciting races and lots of passing. Lindsay Barney and Blaine Cory would be victorious in those 10 lap affairs.
Top 6 in combined qualifying and heat points would make up the scramble. Those drivers would include; Rob Lindsey, Trent Carter, Lindsay Barney, Blaine Cory, Cooper Desbiens, and Chad Lindsey.
Desbiens would lead majority of scramble before a late low side pass out of 4 would secure lead and win for California’s Trent Carter.
At the drop of the green flag, Rob Lindsey would show he’d be one to beat. Lindsey would lead first portion of race over his son Chad. As laps were clicking off, some of the fast drivers mid pack would start making the passes to move towards the front. Carter would make the pass mid race to take lead and would rocket ahead at a unbelievable pace. When the caution would wave to bunch field up late, only 5 would remain on lead lap.
Carter would hold true on a few late cautions. He would collect his first WSS win. Lindsay Barney would finish in 2nd fighting a difficult driving car as she completed last few laps with a flat left front tire. Rob Lindsey would finish 3rd, with Cooper Desbiens and Tim Alberding rounding out top 5.
