Park Jefferson Speedway Motors A Feature To Dover

As the 2015 racing season comes to a close, the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints traveled to Park Jefferson, South Dakota's 4/10ths clay oval. Even though the race was postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to heavy rain, there were still 26 cars from 6 different states were in the pits and the grandstands were near capacity. The race was deemed as a battle between the NE 360 Sprints and the MSTS (MInnesota Sprint Touring Series) which gives visions of a rivalry between the two series, but in fact, the Nebraska boys enjoy racing with our friends from the North, which are always fast and very competitive.

Chad Humston, driving the 24BH Of Gary Swenson's won the first heat. In the 2nd heat, Seth Brahmer took advantage of his front row starting position to lead the field to the checkered flag. BIlly Alley, lead all 8 laps from pole position, to win heat #3. In the B feature, Josh Riggins charged to the front from his front row starting position and held on for the win. Following Josh to the checkered flag were Isaac Scheurs, Brandon Stevenson and John Otte; all four transferred to the A Feature.

The first 16 starters of the A feature was determined and top 8 Heat Race high point earners and re-drew for their starting spots, with Lee Grosz from Fargo, ND drawing number 1pill and would start on the pole. As the race went green, Grosz charged to the lead and built a comfortable lead over Jason Danley. Jack Dover, starting from the outside of Row 4, passed several cars within the first few laps to run down the 2nd place car of Billy Alley. Dover got around Alley coming out of turn 4 and then set his sights out for Grosz who had a 1/2 a straight-a-way lead over the field. Dover only took a few laps until he made a power move around Grosz, and held on to the lead for his 9th trip to Speedway Motors Victory lane. Follwing Dover to the Finish line were Grosz, Alley, Cody Ledger, Seth Brahmer, Robby Wolfgang, Ryan Bickett, Stu Snyder, Tyler Drueke and Jason Danley round out the top 10. Dover received the Select Auto Body Hard Charger Award and Cody Ledger received the ESI Podium finish award.

Up Next for the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints is the final races for 2015 vying for the prestigious Bobby Parker Memorial race on Friday October 2nd and Saturday October 3rd at I-80 Speedway as the support division for the Fearless Outlaw 410 Finale (NSL 410's). These will be some fabulous racing and you definitely do not want to miss this weekend of racing. See you all there!
