Rod Conley Grabs Tim Breeding Memorial for American Late Model Iron-Man Series at 201 Speedway
SITKA, KENTUCKY (August 2, 2025)—Rod Conley took advantage of Zack Dohm’s misfortune late in the main event to capture his third-career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP feature during the Third Annual Tim Breeding Memorial at 201 Speedway. The event was triple sanctioned with the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series and the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series.
The victory was also Conley’s first career Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series victory becoming the 58th different winner in series history. The 63-year-old drove the Conley Motorsports, Draime-powered Rocket Chassis to the $5,000 payday. Conley’s sponsors include Conley Trucking, After Burner Performance, Poske’s Performance Parts, Conley River Terminal & Shain Custom Decals.
Rusty Schlenk and Zack Dohm would bring the 22-car field to life for the start of the 30-lap main event in front of a jam-packed hillside with Dohm jumping to the early race lead with Schlenk in tow. By the late stages of the race, Dohm would have a near three-second race lead before suffering mechanical problems with only seven laps remaining in the event.
Three Deatherage Racing Opticians Caution Flags slowed the feature event. On lap eight, seventh-starting Brandon Fouts slowed with a right rear flat tire. On the 23rd circuit, Justin Cooper spun in turn two after suffering mechanical problems and the restart would have another caution as race leader Zack Dohm would slow and head to the pit area with issues giving the lead over to Conley. Conley rolled across the finish line at 01.333 seconds ahead of points leader Colten Burdette followed by Zach Milbee with his best-ever series finish, Adam Stricker and defending series titlist Rusty Schlenk rounding out the top-five.
The next events for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series will be a pair of $5,000-to-win races at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio on Friday August followed by Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio on Saturday August 9 for the annual Don & Hans Gross Memorial & Throwback Night.
