2x As Sweet.... 2x As Dirty.... White Nabs 2x UCRA Victory Saturday at Smoky Mountain Speedway.... 6/17

Maryville, TN (6/17/2017) - Outside polesitter "The Dirty White Boy" Anthony White of Clinton, Tennessee, for the second time (2x) nabbed the race shortened (due to track curfew) United Crate Racing Alliance - UCRA feature event, making it back to back victories for the first time since Rusty Ballenger did it in early 2016 en route to an eventual $5,000 series championship. The "Stone Plus, Outlaw Racing Graphics Southeast, Performance Racing Specialist, Burchfield Drywall, Creative Fabrications" sponsored Longhorn / Phantom Race Engines powered team kept ahead of third-starting Jesse Lowe of Crossville, TN, at the finish line, that was unfortunately cut by 10-laps by track and series officials. White scored his second consecutive UCRA victory; he was the winner of the May 20th series event at the Tazewell (TN) Speedway. The series has had four winners in five events. Jordan Horton spun to draw a caution on the second lap. A yellow flag waved on lap 14 when Drew Kennedy spun and a caution reared on a restart when third running "Performance Racing Engines" Fast Qualifier Kyle Courtney lost power coming to the green-flag. Points leader Jason Manley had to borrow a ride from Greg Martin whom was set to debut a new Victory Circle Billy Moyer Sr. chassis. Morristown TN's Forrest Trent finished third in his 2017 series debut. Twice during the feature event Lowe seemed to apply the pressure to White after lengthy green flag periods. Unofficial tallies show points leader Jason Manley (who finished 9th) still leading Ballenger, Courtney, Elliott and White in the standings. Independence weekend is in two weeks for the UCRA; Friday June 30th at Crossville (TN) Speedway, followed the next night Saturday July 1st at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater to mark Round # 6 and # 7 of the season.
