Harper Earns First Ohio Valley SCDRA Victory in $1,000 Banger at the Lick
Jamie Harper broke through for his first career Ohio Valley SCDRA win Saturday night at Mudlick Valley Raceway, outlasting Christopher Meyer and Jerry “Rooster” Gibson Jr. in a wild 20-lap main event that saw the lead trio race three-wide on multiple occasions.
The victory was worth $1,000 and marked Harper’s third win of the season at Mudlick Valley, but his first under the Ohio Valley SCDRA banner.
Christopher Meyer settled for second, with Gibson close behind in third. David Applegate ran fourth, while Landon Jones of Menford, Ohio, advanced seven positions to finish fifth in his first-ever night behind the wheel of a race car. His impressive debut earned him the R&H Photography Hard Charger Award.
