DIRTcar 358-Modified Series Invades Airborne

PLATTSBURGH – The DIRTcar 358-Modified Series will invade the Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway on Tuesday, August 20 for the Ameri-Can 100 presented by P.M. Leary Restoration.

The Egglefield Ford 358-Modified regulars will compete with the series invaders in the event scheduled to start at 7 P.M.

In addition, the Poirier’s True Value Sportsman Modified division will compete in a 35-lap, $1,000 to win show-up points event. The Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stocks will also be on the card for regular racing action.

Mat Williamson is the current point leader for the DIRTcar 358 Series. Williamson has collected three wins in five starts this season. Erick Rudolph sits second in the standings and has one win to date. Tim Fuller is the only other driver to collect a 358 series win this season.

Notable drivers expected to contend for Tuesday’s $4,000 top prize include Danny Johnson, Dave Marcucilli, Corey Wheeler, Kyle Dingwall, Jordan McCreadie and Ronnie Davis III. Those invaders will challenge the Plattsburgh regulars. Lance Willix, Chris Raabe, Steve Bernier, Mike Mahaney, Jessey Mueller, Luke Whitteker and François Bernier have each collected wins at PAS this season.

A few Quebec invaders are expected to join the field. David Hebert and Michael Parent have both indicated that they will be competing on Tuesday.

Grandstands open at 4:30 and hot laps are scheduled for 6 P.M. Admission prices are set at $25 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12.
