Young gun Corey Hoover looks to continue momentum at Bakersfield

On Track Inc. - CORONA, Calif. (April 14, 2014) – Corey Hoover got off to a quick start in his sprint car career with an 8th place finish at the California Lightning Sprint opener in Imperial Valley. A part failure and contact in the next two races knocked the 15 year old rookie out of the top ten in points, but he quickly rebounded with his first heat race win and a 3rd place finish in the feature at Ventura Raceway which put him back in the top ten.
Corey looks to carry that momentum into this weekend’s race at Bakersfield Speedway as the CLS Series comes to town for their fifth race of the series. The battle for Rookie of the Year is heating up as well, less than 40 points separate the 3 rookies (Hoover, Queener, Andrews) and it is sure to be a battle through the end of the season.
Corey would like to thank Security Race Products, Rosson Racing, Coast Powder Coating, Chris Kenner Racing, RCM Design, Plumbing Dynamics, Hungry Hunter Steakhouse (Bakersfield), Action Gas & Welding, GranStand Sim Racing Products, and Liquid Fix for the support.
