Feature winners of the 58th consecutive season race week eleven Red’s Auto Spa of Woodsville NH Jason Gray in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Michael Danforth Jr in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Michael Danforth in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF; Richie Simmons in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Tyler Fellows in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; and Spencer Brailey in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners. In the visiting R.E. Hinkley Granite State Mini Sprints 500cc Jake Wolf and Ryan Green in the 600cc.
Jason Gray is slowing expanding his points lead for a run at his sixth consecutive championship in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Is he stoppable? It is beginning to look more and more like he is not. It took him every lap but the last two to get to the front and get my Robert Tucker, who could only shake his head in disbelief when the two to go waved on his first victory of the season, and in the next second watch as Gray passed him and led him to the checkers. When your hot your hot and it looks like the boys are going to have to find a bigger hose to put the Gray fire out. Joining the two in victory lane was Kyle Huntington, with his second trip to victory lane this season. Todd Buckwold and Mike Ryan completed the top five. Going into the second half of the season the biggest points spread for any division from first to third is in the Sportsman Mods at sixty-one points.
Michael Danforth Jr gets his golden ticket to the end of year Growler with his victory in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. Coming from the second row on the grid he was finally able to get by the Ageless wonder Bob Shepard on lap twenty one of their thirty lap main. Shepard held off the hard-fought challenges of Jason Gray who worked his to the front on the outside but was unable to advance any higher than third. Ali Pushee and Terry Williams rounded out the top five. Going into the second half of the season the points battle is tight with only ten points between first and third.
Michael Danforth Jr. also gets a trip to victory lane in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited scoring his second win of the night. He beat Bryan King who led the first sixteen laps of the event who crossed the line in second and Travis Shinn who came home in third. Josh Morgan and Shawn King rounded out the top five. Going into the second half of the season the champion for this inaugural class is coming down to two contenders as they start the second half tied.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and return to action on July 26th.
He's BACK, and what a way to come charging in, in the High-Country Dispensaries Late Models. Richie Simmons, no stranger to the Ridge, was offered a ride, and decided what to hell might as well. Simmons wasted no time in showing his car owner and the fans that he still has what it takes by scoring the win beating out Chad McAlpine and Kelly Miller Sr. who crossed the line in that order on their way to victory lane. Ryan Christian back in the saddle finished in fourth with Scott Heath completing the top five. The second half of the season will see a twenty-nine points spread between first and third.
When you are trying to crawl your way to the top in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks bad luck on Mid-Season double points night is not the night you want that to happen. For Keith Mansur his worst nightmare came true as mechanical problems plagued him all evening. Luckily, he was able to take the green on their main event but would go out early. Tyler Fellows, looking for his first win of the season, decided to go big or go home, winning the double points night event which also elevated him to the top of the heap in the quest for the crown. Rookie Jon Porter had his best finish of the season coming home in second with John Fields taking home third. Matt Pike and Tim Blake rounded out the top five. The second half of the season will start with just ten points between first and third.
Spencer Brailey gets his second win in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville Ridge Runners putting him in the top ten in points for the season. Kyle Morris was the one to watch as he was on fire holding on to the lead for the first half of the event, his best attempt at his first win in the division. He will surely make it there before the year is out. Morris was able to hold on to second with Ryan Sayers coming home in third. Kevin LaForest and Zach Audet completed the top five. Going into the second half of the season, this points battle from first to second is separated by thirty-three points.
The R.E. Hinkley 500cc and 600cc Granite State Mini Sprints were back in the house with strong car counts in both classes. In the 500cc Jake Wolf beats Ed Vickery for the win with Robbie Leonard joining the pair in victory lane. David Greenslit and Wyatt Coutermarsh rounded out the top five. In the 600cc Teagan Daignault ran out of time to make it back-to-back wins at the Ridge, only able to break into the top five. Ryan Green is your winner with Jake Green in second Cody Willette makes it to victory lane in third with Mark Wiggett and Daignault completing the top five. The R.E. Hinkley Granite State Mini Sprints will return to action on August 2nd.
