Lear Triumphs at Hagerstown

The streak of multiple winners in the Late Model Sportsman class came to a halt Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway as Kyle Lear of Severna Park, Maryland claimed his third victory of the season, taking the 20 lap event. Starting 6th in the 24 car field, Lear powered by Jakob Piper midway through the event. Lear eventually survived multiple challenges by Piper on restarts in claiming the win. Codey Breeden rolled home second, followed by Justin Weaver. Piper slipped to fourth in the final rundown, with Brian Booze rounding out the top 5. Heats went to Breeden, D J Myers and Wesley Bonebrake.
The Pure Stock Class was on hand for a pair of 15 lap main events with Brandon Churchey of Martinsburg, West Virginia claiming the makeup event for his first win of the season. Keith Reed took the nightcap, with Nathaniel Younker, Sam Hoffman, Blake Reed, and Dylan Beavers completing the top five.
Chris Anderson became the third different winner in the 12 lap event for the 4 Cylinder class, leading all laps enroute to the victory. Robbie Carroll rode home second followed by Matthew Duvall, Nick McDaniel, and Ricky Weaver Jr.
In the debut of the Crown Vic Class, Jonathan Barron won the battle on a late race restart to take the 12 lap event. Quinten Beeman rolled home second, followed by Allen Harding, Shawn Metty, and Brady Chabol.
