Inside Line Promotions – PERRIS, Calif. (April 2, 2019) – A pair of Arizona ovals awaits Kraig Kinser and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this weekend.

Kinser and the series will venture to USA Raceway in Tucson on Friday for the Wildcat Shootout and Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek on Saturday for the Arizona Desert Shootout.

Kinser recorded his career-best run at USA Raceway in 2014 when he finished seventh. He also posted a top 10 in 2013 with a ninth-place outing. Kinser’s best effort at Arizona Speedway came in 2017 when he rallied from 19th to 11th.

“Tucson is a quick track and it can be tough to run people down so it will be important to lay down a good qualifying lap,” he said. “We’ve raced at Arizona Speedway the last couple of seasons. We’re looking to have a good night at both tracks and better our career-best finishes at each place. We’ll see how our cars are and take what we can get.”

Kinser competed at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, Calif., last Friday. He qualified 17th quickest, maneuvered from fifth to fourth in a heat race and capped the night with an 18th-place finish in the feature.

“We had a chance to have a really good night,” he said. “I got to second in the heat and fell back to fourth. They had reworked the track and there was moisture all over the place. We were fortunate to get up there pretty quick, but I didn’t move to the top quick enough after getting to second. Then we struggled with the slick conditions in the A Main.”

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway during the SoCal Showdown. Kinser timed in 25th quickest. A ninth-place heat race run was followed by a charge from seventh to fourth in the Last Chance Showdown before Kinser placed 20th in the A Main.

“It was kind of a disappointing night for us,” he said. “We weren’t very good in the feature and it took rubber midway through so it was tough to make up any ground after that.”
