Carl McCrumb Hobby Stock Special Friday, July 25

Carl McCrumb, who passed away in 1998, raced in the 1950s and 1960s in the old Jalopy Class.

He had several big accomplishments at the Mt. Pleasant Speedway in his career including:

50-Lap feature win on May 30, 1960
50-Lap Championship on Oct. 3, 1959
Jalopy Mid-Season Championship 25-Lap feature win in August 1959
2nd place feature on July 4, 1960
He drove the No. Y4 - as the story goes he chose the number because he would say "Why for am I racing?

The winner of the Hobby Stock A-main will receive an extra $100 and a trophy thanks to the McCrumb/Dickman families.

Also on tap for the night will be the UMP Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Stock 4's and MORA.

Gates Open: 5 p.m. * Races Begin: 7:45 p.m.

Main Grandstands: Adults (Ages 11-64): $11; Sr. Citizens (65+): $10; Children (2-10): $5; Children (0-2): $0

Family Pass 2 adults and 2 children: $25

Practice July 23: Time: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Cost: $20.00 per car (includes 2 people), Each additional person is $5
