Lee Hobbs Wins Against A Stacked Field Of UMP Super Stocks Full Of Champions

Saturday at LPS we had a huge field of Usac stars and a huge field of Huntley Hoosier 305’s but the UMP Super Stocks who had 25 cars may have had as many champions both local and National just like the other 2 series. We are blessed in Indiana to have some of the best heroes to watch on the weekends in many classes and with 100 cars the 25 UMP Sportsman were loaded. Fast times in the groups went to Zach Sasser, Hayden Groomer and Isaiah Sasser. Heat race 1 Broc Burton won it and held off Tucker Chastain the UMP champ, Zach Sasser, Wade Goodale the LPS champ and Brad Cummings. Heat race 2 Devin Wallen held on for the win over Ralph Groomer, Hayden Groomer, Derek Hufford and Travis Heramb. The final heat was won by Lee Hobbs over Isaiah Sasser, Wes McClara, Jordan Almanza and Ryan Freeland. The last chance to get into the A was won by Tanner Chastain, Nick Kinnett, Matt Raber, Cody Tate and Kenny Carmichael Sr. This setup the 20 lap main event and Isaiah Sasser with Lee Hobbs drew the front row. The #H0 of Lee was fast again and would take the lead and cruise to another big win against the best field of the year probably he has faced. Following him at the finish it was Zach Sasser, Broc Burton, Isaiah Sasser, Devin Wallen, Ralph Groomer, Derek Hufford, Wes McClara, Jordan Almanza and Ryan Freeland. Thanks to all 25 teams that came out for this show.

The USAC teams with 47 and 45 strong both nights put on a great show. The 3 teams I would like to mention that I believe made their 1st A main with the huge field were the 99J team along with 63 and 97 teams. Congrats to Kyle Johnson, Cale Coons and Austin Nigh for putting it in the A main and each of your teams have to be pumped for the rest of the year because making any USAC A main with that many cars is a big accomplishment and we are proud of all of our LPS local drivers that made the shows and appreciate all that you do for us as fans every week. Next Saturday is a huge Fireworks display and Family Night at LPS so we will see you then.
