Fall Nationals XIX: Friday Night Qualifying Sets the Stage for Championship Saturday
HAYS, Kan. (October 3, 2025) — Night two of the 19th Annual Fall Nationals presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions brought intense on-track action to Rolling Plains Motor Speedway, as more than 200 competitors across five IMCA divisions battled through qualifying and heat races to secure positions for Saturday’s Championship Night program.
Golden Plains Trucking IMCA Sport Compacts — 27 Entries
The Sport Compacts opened Friday’s program with two qualifying races and three heat races to set the tone for the evening.
Qualifier winners: Alex Boyden and Brock Leibhart.
Heat race winners: Gage Porter, Kayden Hudson, and Alex Boyden.
Competitive racing throughout the field highlighted the depth of the division, as drivers fought for valuable transfer positions ahead of Saturday’s Last Chance Qualifiers and Championship Feature.
Augie’s Towing IMCA Hobby Stocks — 54 Entries
The Hobby Stock division once again delivered thrilling racing with a remarkable 54 cars in competition.
Qualifier winners: Morgan Olmstead, Ryan Fajman, and Tyler Heath.
Heat race winners: Morgan Olmstead, Dylan Bell, Riley Kort, Ryan Fajman, Tyler Heath, and Trent Matson.
Multiple heats showcased side-by-side battles throughout the field, setting the stage for one of the most competitive Championship Features of the weekend.
Walt’s Machine IMCA Sport Mods — 52 Entries
The Sport Mods featured three stacked qualifiers and six heat races as drivers navigated their way toward the redraw and transfer spots.
Qualifier winners: Trevin Frye, Jack Kirchoff, and Brandon Spanjer.
Heat race winners: Cody Gearhart, Warren Huffman, Lee Horky, Jack Kirchoff, Brandon Spanjer, and Preston Donovan.
With over 50 cars in attendance, competition was fierce as every position played a critical role in Saturday’s starting lineups.
Advantage Auto Glass IMCA Stock Cars — 53 Entries
The Stock Car division continued its tradition of delivering some of the most competitive racing of the weekend.
Qualifier winners: Angel Munoz, Brock Beeter, and Jeff Ware.
Heat race winners: Cole Younger, Cody Ghumm, Justin Kinderknecht, Johnny Yutterman, Jeff Ware, and Kolby Stegman.
The depth of the field promises an intense Championship Night showdown as drivers battle for one of Fall Nationals’ most coveted titles.
Mel Hambelton Ford IMCA Modifieds — 33 Entries
The Modified division closed out Friday night’s program with strong fields and close competition.
Qualifier winners: Robbie Thome and Clay Money.
Heat race winners: Greg Gustus, Daniel Gottschalk, Clay Money, Cody Williams, Kaid Calhoon, and Eddie Belec.
A mix of experienced veterans and young talent is set to headline Saturday’s Championship Feature as the Modifieds chase Fall Nationals glory.
Championship Night Set for Saturday
The 19th Annual Fall Nationals concludes Saturday, October 4, with full championship programs in all five IMCA divisions.
• 9:30 AM — Free breakfast for drivers and crews in the Unrein Building
• 10:00 AM — Pit gates open
• 4:00 PM — Check-in closes
• 5:00 PM — Pre-race ceremonies and racing begin
Fans can watch live on IMCA.tv, follow lineups on MyRacePass, and access live timing via MRP or Race Monitor. Fall Nationals and Speedway merchandise will be available throughout the weekend, with full concessions and race-day services on site.
