Kids Weekend is here!

This weekend is our annual kids weekend fun event, featuring full points races at both tracks, as well as the popular Power Wheels races.

Saturday July 18th is Yukon Equipment night at the Oval, with gates opening at 3, qualifying at 5 and green flag at 6. The Power Wheels race will be after the heat races and prior to the Features, approximately 7:15.

Sunday July 19th is a full day of points races at the Strip. Gates open at 10, time trials are at 11, and eliminations start at 2. The Power Wheels race will be after the first round of eliminations, approximately 3 pm.

We’re located at 5599 S. Race Way in Palmer. As always, if you are experiencing any COVID 19 symptoms, please stay home. Thank you and we’ll see you at the races!

POWER WHEELS RULES

Fee: none, included with admission to the track

Ages: Class A: Up to 4; Class B: 5-8

Race Procedure: Race down the front straightaway at the ARP Oval/ARP Strip Return Road. The race will be held between the heat and the feature race Saturday, or Sunday after the first round of eliminations.

Prizes: Trophies to top 2 in each class

Safety: Helmets are required; bicycle helmets okay, must be securely fastened; No push-starts; no crashing

Waivers: All kids must have a waiver signed by BOTH parents, or sole legal guardian/parent if the situation fits. You can download and print the waiver and bring it with you to make things faster. The link is: http://www.raceak.com/downloads/get.aspx?i=517942

Sign up: Racers must enter & impound their Power Wheel prior to the Heat Races (6 pm) or Eliminations (2 pm). Vehicles will be available for pick up after the races are over.

Vehicle specs: 4 wheel power wheels only (no bikes, scooters, etc.); MUST BE ELECTRIC; Power: Open to 6 or 12-volt power wheels, mods okay but keep it under 5 mph.

Parents: Remember, this is FUN and it’s for the KIDS. Parents may stand on the inside of the track so as not to block the view from the grandstands.
