Ricky Thornton Jr pockets $100,000 in XR Super Series

(Norfolk, NE) -- Ricky Thornton Jr. earned the $100,000 top prize for winning the XR Super Series Elkhorn 100 Tuesday night at Off Road Speedway. Thornton, who started fourth, battles Daulton Wilson during the first half of the 100-lap run before losing the lead to Bobby Pierce.

Thornton was able to regain the point off a restart with 19 laps remaining before sailing to the checkered flag, finishing 1.1 seconds ahead of Pierce. Kyle Bronson was third. Brandon Sheppard advanced from 12th starting spot to fourth while Wilson rounded out the top-five
