Clauson Poised for Four Crown
PETERSEN MEDIA- During the 2010 running of the 4 Crown Nationals at the historic Eldora Speedway, Bryan Clauson nearly pulled off the complete USAC 3 Crown sweep, for the 2011 running of the event, Clauson returns off of a strong weekend as he looks to pick up coveted event.
Clauson will again be competing in all USAC events, as he will wheel his Corey Tucker Racing/Bryan Clauson Racing/Curb Agajanian Performance Group backed Midget and Sprint car, and will also compete aboard his Tony Stewart Racing Silver Crown car.
Last year, the youngster picked up his first career Silver Crown win while competing in this event and came up one spot short in both the Midget in the Sprint Car, nearly pulling off the clean sweep.
This year Clauson comes into the event fresh off of a Midget win last weekend, and a second place showing in the Sprint Car.
The race also has huge implications on BC’s chase for the USAC National Drivers championship, which he leads, as well as the Mopar National Midget point standings.
"The 4 crown nationals weekend is a huge weekend for myself and the team. Last year at this event I came up two spots short of a complete sweep, so it’s a race weekend I've been looking forward to and excited about all season,” explained BC. “With the USAC National Midget and USAC National Drivers Championship points standings so close, this weekend could prove to be key in both. The 4 Crown is one of a few marquee midget races I haven't gotten to cross off the list yet, and I would love to take care of that this weekend!"
