Bret Ervin Racing to be Featured in First KWS FanFest
On Friday April 22, Bret Ervin Racing and driver, Andy Gregg, will be one of the cars featured in the first King of the West FanFest of 2011 at Chevrolet of Watsonville in Watsonville, CA.
“I’m excited for this first FanFest on Friday,” said Gregg. “Like the autograph signing last week, this is also a great event to allow fans to see their favorite drivers before the race and hopefully make it so they get home at a decent hour on Saturday.”
This debut event will feature the 7 Industries sponsored car along with a host of other KWS sprint cars. All drivers in attendance will be signing autographs and giving fans a chance to purchase t-shirts as well as allowing fans to get an up close look at their unique cars.
Another unique aspect to this event will be the Sprint Simulators that will be open to the public. These machines allow fans to climb in the cockpit of a sprint car and experience the rush of going wheel to wheel with other drivers.
Other attractions on Friday include, the KWS merchandise trailer, Chevy test-drives, giveaways, and complementary hotdogs for all fans who attend.
“These type of events are great for our sport,” remarked Gregg. “They are a great way for us as teams to showcase our sponsors to a huge crowd of people, and way for us as drivers to showcase our sport to new fans, and really make an impact on little kids as they come up to get autographs and ask questions.”
Chevrolet of Watsonville is located at 490 Auto Center Drive Watsonville, CA 95607. The event is slated to kick off at 4:00 pm and run until 7:30 pm. We invite all fans to stop by and have a look at the Bret Ervin Racing/7 Industries/Eagle No. 53 car.
“Im hoping this event has a huge turnout,” Gregg added. “With this event being so close to Santa Cruz, I hope fans will decided to make a weekend out of it by coming to the event Friday, spending the day in Santa Cruz Saturday, before heading to the track Saturday night, it is definitely going to be a blast.”
