Lawson started practicing at the age of 4 years old in a quarter midget race car. He wasn't old enough to run yet with the red rookies, but he enjoyed going out once a week to get ready. He has raced one full season at NCQMA in Salisbury and came away with 5 wins before moving up a division to compete with the blue rookies in October of 2023. We competed in our first dirt race in December of 2023, and he found a new passion for dirt. He went on to compete at Horsepower Park Go Kart Track during the off season and took his first ever win on dirt. His passion is all things racing and he can tell you so much about the sport to be a wee 6 years old. He is an avid Riley Herbst fan and you will frequently see him wearing his monster attire and his crew shirt to support Riley on race day and pretty much every other day of the week. When he grows up, he wants to be like daddy and be a Crew Chief and also "be spiderman at nighttime when everyone is sleeping."

Millbridge

His first race at Millbridge he had a hard crash into the outside wall during qualifying and immediately said he was done. As nervous as he was, he crawled back in that car and drove the race. At the end of that race, he was so proud of himself and had gained a new confidence in himself.
