Driver Information
Matthew Jessome is a St. Catharines born race car driver who played hockey most of his life but grew up going to the track since he was a kid. His dad Reggie Jessome raced for a few years in the 90s in the Pro Stock division and carried his love for racing to his son as he grew up. Up until he was 18, Matt never raced anything in his life. That was when he got a chance to take some laps around Merrittville Speedway with the Kenny Schrader which got him the itch to race. Matthew always dreamed of racing, especially in a sportsman and potentially a modified one day so when the chance was there to buy a sportsman our crew jumped on it right away. Hopefully, as we continue to grow as a team and take something from every race we go to, we will continue to get better and better and find the winners circle more and more.
Career Highlights
2x Novice Sportsman winner at Ransomville Speedway (2025)
Most Memorable Moment
Winning my first ever race at Ransomville Speedway on my first visit there. At the time, I had only crossed the checkered flag 4 times at a local track the year before, so to show up to a new track with my family there and win was truly amazing.
