Parties, Sponsors and Getting Started...
This past Saturday night Ray Parent and the Amtrol / Rayline Racing Team kicked off their 2013 season in style at Francis Farms in Rehoboth, MA. The newly renovated event facility hosted the 13th annual racing fundraiser.
Fantastic food, great entertainment and loads of prizes filled the evening’s festivities. The Tiverton, RI driver was ecstatic with the turnout and the generosity of his proud partners on the 17RI machine. “We had a full house and gave away over $5000 worth of prizes. We showed up with around 90 door prizes to raffle and ended up with over 170,” said Ray. The prizes included a pair of custom built WellTroll tank seats along with two European style propane tanks from Amtrol, a set of Michelin tires donated by Bayside Automotive, over $1200 worth of North Face gear donated by Bobs Sea And Ski and F1 Boston donated an indoor karting driver experience for two.
The night also included the Bavarian Brothers from New Hampshire with their yodeling, alp horn and folk songs for entertainment. The 2012 ACT Invitational champion was overwhelmed with the help and support from everyone. “Thank you to all who donated and attended. A special thanks to all our volunteers, friends, and family for your support and help; your generosity is greatly appreciated. What a great way to kick off our racing season.”
The Amtrol Racing team is just a few short weeks away from kicking off their 2013 racing season; as April 14th marks the opening round of the American Canadian Tour. The Vermont based series starts their season with the annual New Hampshire Governor’s Cup at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. Ray and the Team are ready to race and are looking forward to getting their 20 race season started. “It’s been a long winter, but we are excited to get this season going. We have a brand new Distance Chassis ready to go. We are looking forward to Lee and starting the year off with a great run,” said Ray.
Before the season gets started; this coming Wednesday March 27th, the Amtrol sponsored American Canadian Tour racecar, trailer and driver will take center stage at the New England Institute of Technology campus in Warwick, RI. As Amtrol’s national sales meeting will have over a 100 company representatives, sales associates and employees from around the world attending the conference. The main center piece being the red, black and yellow ACT car. "This is a great opportunity for the representatives from Amtrol to get up close and personal with the car and our type of racing. Most of these people have never been around a racecar... I'm looking forward to sharing what it's all about," said Ray.
