Wenger finishes seventh in Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria

McKay Wenger’s pursuit for the MARS Late Model Championship Series title continued Saturday amid a weather-shortened weekend of racing.

Following the cancellation of Friday’s Diggin’ Dirt 40 at Brownstown (IL) Bullring due to inclement weather, Wenger turned his attention to Saturday’s Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria Speedway. After securing a runner-up finish in his heat race, he went on to claim a seventh-place finish in the $5,098-to-win, 40-lap feature.
