The journey to racing stardom's seemingly inevitable for Leighton Clift. Leighton's favorite moment so far in his young racing career came two seasons ago when he finished second in points standings at Longdale Speedway in the pure stock division. Leighton began his racing career in go carts when he was five. the family would travel to Wellington and Winfield, both in Kansas, where Leighton would race go karts. The number 33 on the side of Leightons slick orange and white machine just happened to be the number on the side of his first go cart, so he has been using it since. Throughout his young racing career Leighton has scored countless wins from the beginning of go karts to now.

Leighton is a high school student at Timberlake High School where he is a member of the baseball team. Leighton also loves to fish and hunt in his spare time.
