Driver Information

Mike was the only son to Paul and Betty Ladner. His parents were always involved in racing which Mike loved every minute. Paul was part owner of the Hwy 67 Checkered Flag Speedway in Biloxi. Mike spent many days and nights working and racing at the track.
He met his wife Sonya at their track and they married in 1986. He and Sonya had a son that passed away at 9 days old. They had 2 daughters, Shawndee and Morgan. They was married for 33 years until Sonya passed away from colon cancer in 2019 after a hard fought battle for several years. Mike remarried in 2021 to Tammy, and became step parent to Mackenzee and Garrett. He has 3 beautiful granddaughters, Addyson, Ryleigh, and Emersyn.
Mike's Dad, Paul, was the owner of P Ladner Septic and Dirt, which Mike worked since he was able to walk. He took over his Daddy's business when he became ill and wasn't able to run it. Mike ran the business for many years. He purchased an additional business in 2020, where he manufactured the concrete septic tanks and grease traps. He combined the two businesses and changed the name to Ladner Septic and Dirt,
Mike has raced at many tracks and won a couple championships at South MS Speedway, a number of memorial races with his most memorable race winning the Bennie Spicer Memorial at Outlaw Speedway.
