Carter is a Senior in High School. When he's not racing, he's working on the race cars or fishing.

Carter is starting his third year in a legend car. Last season he won his second SCCA MARRS Championship with 10 wins and a track record at VIR. He won the inagural Battle of the Virginias with 5 wins. He participated in his first Winter Heat at Charlotte Motor Speedway and grabbed 3rd place overall with 2 wins.
