Driver Information
In 2012 me and my friend with the help of his dad. Built a 4 cylinder car to run a few races at Speedway Miramichi and Shediac Centre for Speed. First time out was not a success as we overheated the motor. After fixing the motor we ventured to Shediac Centre for Speed and ran a 50 lapper against some hondas we completed all but 3 laps and gained lots of experience.
Over the winter of 2012 my inlaws donated a Sunfire for me to build and compete in the Sharpshooter class at speedway 660 in 2013, We had a lot of fun and finished in 9th place and runner up in the rookie of the year.
Unfortunately i decided to take the car to Miramichi in the fall of 2013 and ended up getting spun into the wall, taking a hard enough hit that I do not remember climbing out of my car and walking back to the pits. that was the end of that car.
2014 Saw us build a new car that we would run for the next 2 years having some success and a 5th place finishes. These past 3 cars were all automatics and just didn't have what it took to compete for wins.
That all changed in 2016 when i purchased a car that most guys had written off as being junk (Car had sat at the track for the previous 2 years seeing limited track time) and was rolled once. I swapped my complete suspension and subframe into this car and set off to compete in 2016!
2016 we pickup our first 3 podiums and numerous top 5 finishes. and a 3rd place overall in the season standings.
2017 saw us compete in a part time season picking up 3 more podiums and a 6th place overall in the points. we also ventured to Shediac Centre for Speed to compete in the Atlantic Stock Car championships where we picked up a 3rd place trophy.
2018 saw us have our dream season picking up 7 top 3's and 3 top 5's 1 win and the championship in the Fredericton Gunshop division.
2019 we returned to defend our title but we're plagued with bad luck picking up on only one top 3. This would end up being a disastrous final full time season and saw us sell the championship car at the end of the season.
2020 we made a few starts in a few different cars with some good runs needing in mechanical failures. At Speedway Miramichi and Speedway 660.
2021 I returned to full time racing driving for Tim Hohmann in the #51 car, I cannot thank Tim enough for that opportunity after the fall 2020 and winter 2021 I had spent almost a month in hospital and having to basically rebuild my life. But with support of close friends, and family they got me through one of the worst times in my life.
2022 I purchased the #01 of Jeff Rose to bring it back to my stable as it had started its life as a parts car for the 2016-2018 #51.
We made one start at Petty International Raceway for a double feature in a Feild of 24 cars picking up a 6th and 8th place.
Where it all started!!!
Racing is in my blood you can say, my first memories of racing were watching my cousins Wade and Jody Harris running at Cedar Mills International Speedway outside of St. Stephen NB at the age of 9.
When Cedar Mills shut down they begun racing at the New Brunswick International Speedway now Speedway 660. wanting to go to the track i would beg my parents or hitch a ride with my friends dad who sponsored a couple cars there. Sitting in the stands i couldn't wait for the days to be old enough to get into the pits and help them anyway I could.. I snuck in a few times with them hiding behind the seat of one of there trucks it was magical in the pits the amount of cars and crews and jobs to be done after each class came off the track it was well worth the wait.
Learned alot about racing from them and there dads over the next 15 years. and wrenched on both cars. Jody is now out of racing after picking up a track championship in the Sportsman Division and moving onto Pro Stock having some very successful runs. Wade Still has his sportsman and continues to bring it out a few times a year when he's not busy with his business Wade Harris Auto Service & Repair.
