Driver Information

Michelle LaRose called Alaska home in 2003 by way of Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she lived for 15 years prior. She is a Manager for a General Aviation business at Merrill Field Airport in Anchorage, Alaska since 2007 (ever flown upside down?!). Does all her own wrenching and bodywork, Michelle built this car body-off-detailing in 1992 incorporating a 10-point rollcage which she fabricated herself! (car weighs-in around 2000 pounds mostly mostly sheet metal except for fenders). The engine and transaxle parts are aftermarket-race special in a VW confirguration. Quickest ET at ARP: 12.50 secs @ 104mph with 2387cc normally-aspirated VW type four cylinder engine and drag-slick tires. Michelle performs regularly in a Wasilla-based band called “North Country” swingin' the house with her electric bass guitar and fiddle and is a homeowner in Wasilla.

-Pocatello Raceway Park, Idaho
-Firebird Raceway, Idaho
-Lost Creek Raceway, Montana
-Bandimere Speedway, Colorado
-Rocky Mountain Raceway, Utah

some past races included heads-up competition in the NHRA Pro-Volkswagen Racing Association

Michelle wishes to acknowledge the support and mentoring from the late Gene Berg of Berg Enterprises in Orange, California who once said he had three sons but Michelle was the daughter he never had....(thank you Gene, I miss you!)
